Job Summary

This position will configure and maintain online content, provide front-end support to the Web Development Team, participate in UAT/QA efforts for the Public Websites / IT Scrum Team. They will partner with the Product Owner to develop User Stories for the Public Websites / IT backlog, gather acceptance criteria, descriptions, and QA requirements. They will help ensure public-facing Web Products, Features and Components release in scope and on-time. The Senior Web Strategist will collaborate with stakeholders to recommend/modify content on corporate websites via enterprise CMS. This role will be responsible for delivering customer success by facilitating the coordination of projects related to SEO Optimization, Web Strategy, Form and Site Enhancement, etc. In addition, this position will analyze and report on findings, trends, and best practices to each business line.

 

What You'll Do

  • Partner with internal clients across the organization to create innovative digital strategic projects.

  • Responsible for leading web strategy as it aligns to our methodology including but not limited to web competitor analysis, information architecture strategy, personalization strategy, form logic and more.

  • Create and manage the execution of measurable, brand-building, web campaigns aligned with key objectives and priorities.

  • Collaborate with business units in recommending/modifying content on the public and private websites (landing pages, vanity URLs, QR codes, microsites, forms, etc.) – answer questions, suggest ideas, solve problems, etc.

  • Track web analytics to ascertain content engagement levels.

  • Provide support for paid search and paid social campaigns (keyword research, strategy).

  • Provide ad hoc website analytics reports as requested from various departments.

  • Optimize site content and media for the best overall user experience.

  • Implement and maintain best UX practices across GuideStone’s digital presence.

  • Research competitor web analysis as it relates to search, content, and online lead capture/management.

  • Stay up to date with the latest SEO and website trends and best practices.

  • Research the latest digital tools and interactive trends.

  • Analyze customer and user data.

  • Ability to manage websites/platforms including creation, updating and ongoing administration.

  • Must understand the full digital marketing mix and be able to communicate technical aspects of a campaign in an easily digestible manner.

  • Work with Digital Product Manager to refine backlog, develop user stories, descriptions, etc.

  • Support Scrum Team through UAT planning and execution, developing QA requirements, gathering feedback, executing sprint tasks and research spikes, etc.

  • Participate in Scrum Ceremonies as needed.

  • Measure and report on website performance to track, analyze and improve our digital products.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions and time constraints.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with other teams and departments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Advertising or MIS, preferred.

 

What You'll Need

  • At least 5 years of experience in digital marketing or a related field.

  • Travel approximately 5%.

  • Strong and proven track record/performance in managing complex projects.  

  • Exposure to web content management systems.

  • Working knowledge of HMTL and CSS (preferred)

  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies. (preferred)

  • Exposure to Google Analytics.

  • Ability to design and interpret technical specifications.

  • Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate complex technical topics to business personnel.

  • Knowledge of current web tools and the ability to learn technical information quickly.

  • Exposure to or participation with active scrum teams a plus.

  • Experience with developing cross-departmental consensus.

  • Highly self-motivated.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Adapts well to change and works well under pressure.

  • Must have complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
